Rationalizing the Blame: Is it users of SEO products or is it Search Engines?

I admit. Prior to learning about SEO tools and site optimization business, I thought Google was perfect. I Googled anything from people, to visuals, to news to odd objects and unquestionably trusted the search outcomes. Then I heard about SEO programs and an entire e-commerce specializing in Web promotion, and my beliefs were never the same. But even prior to my revelation, having done a bit of introspective reading, I got a feeling that search engines, Google to boot, know far from everything, and share with the web community even less than what they know.

My search travails soon convinced me that Flikr is a more comprehensive image search source, that with the assistance of RSS I can get great current events stories without having to rummage through Google search results (rummaging is more fitting than Google search), and people search is better handled by Facebook. It seems like when I search for strange things on Google, the results are often inaccurate, to put it kindly. Try searching for SEO applications and other SEO connected topics on Google and you are just about prepared to surrender your patience. I mean, seriously, what’s the connection between SEO software and online education websites or Internet casinos? Gladly, in my disappointment.

So when news of free link building software and the whole industry built around it invaded my humble worldview, my doubts about domains landing on the top of Google increased exponentially. Do they deserve to show up on there and who is to blame, Google or site promoters using SEO programs. The moral dilemma is huge. Do I stop using my SEO google ranking or do I seize using Google instead? I decided that I can’t renounce myself from Google just yet. At least not until the worthy contender enters the picture. For now I will keep juggling between Blekko, Google and the above methods to complement the SERP mess that Google is. And, oh,yes, I will keep using my SEO apps.

Truth is that SEO products is the reason why guys like me get some visibility online. Sophisticated as they are, Google robots are not likely to find some average person and rank his website highly. In this respect, I am a firm believer in SEO programs and organic search. If it was all about the money, the corporate entities would squish me before I knew it. And there are 1000 powerbrands on the Fortune roll! But here is another thing that annoys me and other backlink checker users, I am certain. There are individuals who buy SEO tools and use them to sell beddingon online education sites and such. What we have is litter that not only exists on the Internet but is also well valued by Google.

What is the public perspective on this? They Google SEO product reviews and will instead find unrelated search findings. They get disillusioned. So much for the “Internet justice”. Does this indicate that SEO product and service industry is harmful? I don’t think so.

The abusers of SEO programs have to stop brutalizing the Internet but it’s like asking hackers to stop cracking the code. The unfortunate side about it is that black hat SEOs are overusing the opportunity to be noticeable on the Net that is given to the random dude like me. For now users just have to treat them. One can only wish that Google will put more effort into finding the schemers abusing SEO tools, and if Google doesn’t, the big Google will.
